Damācia Howard is a loving, caring, energetic, motivated, driven, goal getting 15 year old, accelerated honor student. A dual enrollment sophomore at Georgia Cyber Academy, she is inspired to reach every goal she sets for herself.

Born in Atlanta, GA, Damācia is the daughter of James and Regina Howard. Mr. And Mrs. Howard knew at an early age, that Damācia was talented and gifted. She has maintained an A average, received several awards and has started her career as a teen actress. With hopes of attending The Juilliard School, upon high school graduation.

Although, very focused on her academics, Damācia has a strong community service presence in her local community and internationally. She has worked with the organization “Books for Africa” and has helped in collecting over 4.1 million books for the students in Africa. After finding out about the low literacy rate in that nation, she set out to find out what she could do to possibly help. Thus, her service with the organization began.

While displaying a huge concern for students internationally, Damācia, also has a concern for her local community’s reading habits. She has organized and will be moving forward with her, summer reading initiative, “Read Across South Fulton”. Reports show, that most students read less during the summer, and their reading grades tend to have dropped when they return for the new school year. Damācia’s summer reading initiative, encourages students to read as many books as they can while on break to help them maintain a strong reading grade when they start back to school in the fall. With this being important, Damācia seeks sponsors to donate reading tablets and Amazon gifts cards to the top three students, that log the most books read or the most hours spent reading.

A trail blazer in her own right, she is the first youth to receive a proclamation in the New City of South Fulton, and the first youth to have two recognized days on the calendar, in South Fulton County. Damācia is also the very first dual enrollment student attending Georgia Military Academy to receive the “Distinguished Order of Service” Award for her outstanding community service. She has over 1,400 hours logged.

When not serving her community, you will find her gracing the stage, competing in local and national pageants. She has represented her state as Miss Fulton County Pre Teen 2015 and Miss Georgia Pre Teen 2016 with National American Miss; Miss Atlanta Supreme Jr Teen Queen 2017 with Miss Southern Sweetheart; Miss Fulton County Jr Teen 2017 and Miss Georgia Jr Teen 2018 with SK Pageants.

Striving for excellence, her name is one that you should take note of as she will be making her mark for years to come. Damācia Howard a game changer and trail blazer.
